Brief Description: Canopy rails and windshield mount angle
Not much accomplished today. Spent time re-organizing the parts in my parts storage area, which is getting pretty thin.
Started to fit the right canopy hinge and tube and found it interferred with the right hand windshield mount, D01-24R. -24R was positioned in what appeared to be the correct pre-drilled holes in the longeron. By moving -24 forward one hole to use the aft predrilled hole, things seem to fit. The drawings don't give specific dimensions to locate -24, but scaling from the drawings, using only the aft pre-driled hole puts it close to what seems the correct position. The windshield and canopy need a lot of "trim to fit", so I don't think the location of -24 is critical. Using one of the pre-drilled holes seems to put it within 1/4" of the quarter scaled position.
There is a similar problem on D01-24L, and unfortunately, I had already drilled that location for the AN3 hardware that attaches the angle mount and throttle assembly. I'll end up with another unused hole in the longeron.
